In need

When in need I only count on my family. Unconditional love, they’ve been with me through thick and thin, when I’ve been right and when I’ve been wrong. I go to them with my problems because everyone else generally doesn’t care and are glad they are my problems and not theirs. Smh.

i never understood

I never understood why some greeks talk to non-greeks about greek related topics as if they knew what the fuck you’re talking about. for example, tonight a fellow greek, whom was surrounded by non-greeks, except myself, decided to get high with the non-greeks. afterwards they all decided to have a discussion about how their day was .. when it got to the girl who was greek she decided to say that she ran into a “dog” today. the non-greeks were like “there are dogs on campus?” and she clarified that it was a Que dawg. They all chuckled but had no idea what she was talking about. so she continued on with her story about how the Que gave her Oil. The non greeks thought it was real OIL. She further tried to clarify that it was their signature drink.. she then ran down the list of EVERY D9 orgs’ signature drink. FOR WHAT?!?!?! they don’t fuckin’ know the difference any damn way, nor do they give a damn…. i had to walk away from the situation and put my thoughts into twitter because you can’t tell this girl nothing no way (i learned that early on with her).. But she then continued on to state she was tipsy in class.. ARE ONE OF OUR PRINCIPLES NOT SCHOLARSHIP!? and you’re bragging about being tipsy in class!? oh… I understand you want to be cool with people but you became a member of an organization with hopes of becoming someone different, a leader.. yet you are still going down the same path? How do you expect for anyone to look up to you when you’re doing the same non sense they are. And then have to audacity to say you could see that person as your potential Soror just because you are cool with them?! What do they stand for?! What do they know about my org!? When have they EVER showed interest!? I DONT WANT ANYONE SNEAKING INTO MY ORGANIZATION BECAUSE OF YOUR MISHAPS! My, how often do people forget that it is about QUALITY and not about the QUANTITY.

The type of people one surrounds themselves with baffles me. Why is it shunned upon to go against the grain? If someone asks me to smoke I decline with no hesitation because I have never desired to do so.

But to continue on.. after everyone was through with explaining how their day went we all just stood around for FORTY FIVE minutes not doing SHIT. don’t even get me started on how i’ve NEVER befriended AMERICAN blacks because i feel they were brought up differently then American africans or west indians. call me ignorant, IDC. There are a FEW exceptions to this but they have no type of consideration for others! it blows my mind! but again, i’m not even going to get started.

that was my little spiel of today. i cannot WAIT to leave this environment!
